Default ACC Crappie Rod Which reel

Got a 12' ACC rod with cork handles. My question is can I use a casting reel on it? I don't see anywhere it says one way or the other. I know a lot of people use a casting reel on other brands.

If you talking about a bait caster then NO. If your talking about a spin cast then yes. Using a bait caster....bass fishing reel.... reverses the spine of the rod and increases the odds of it breaking

It depends on what style of fishing you plan to do.
A lot of people use spinning reels or under spin -spin cast reels.
Personally I have one rod with a small 1000 series spinning reel that only gets used during winter when I fish deeper water and have to reel some to land a fish.
The rest of my long poles get super lightweight, no hassle spool type reels.
I land fish by pulling the line like fly fishing.
My favorite reel is the Slater pole reel. Set up as a rear seat.

Watched some youtube videos and some of them were using baitcasting reel on the ACC rods. Also, if they are for spinning reels why are the guides so small?

Any reel will work, it’s personal preference and fishing style that lead people to make a choice.
The guides are small because the longer rods are not really designed for casting.
I use one on my winter set up to let line out 30-40 ft or more vertical jigging and fishing on bottom drifting.

Long rods with baitcasters works no problem. I know a few people setup this way and have never heard one of them breaking a rod or having an issue.

These rods are made in China, do you really think they take time to determine where the spine is on each rod?
