ACC Crappie Rod Which reel

These rods are made in China, do you really think they take time to determine where the spine is on each rod?

I've had both on my ACC 13 foot super grip rod & have a baitcaster on it now. If i'm fishing around 15 feet deep i use it. Deeper than that i use a 13 foot Kevin Rogers with a spinning reel on it with whatever amount of weight is needed to get it down pretty quick. Today i was using a quarter ounce jig head & two number 3 split shot to reach fish 20 to almost 30 feet so i used my spinning setup. This week is they pull up shallow i'll use the ACC with the bait caster.

You won't have any issues with baitcasters and long as you are not actually trying to cast a light crappie jig. I use baitcasters on all of my poles i use for livescopping, just hit the the thumb bar and let the jigs fall on their noses.

Got a 12' ACC rod with cork handles. My question is can I use a casting reel on it? I don't see anywhere it says one way or the other. I know a lot of people use a casting reel on other brands.

I’ve got Shimano Sedona on mine. It has been a workhorse. IMO spincast on the jig pole is only way to go.
