For deep water tight lining a super small diameter braid is gonna give you more sensitivity than any rod you can buy. You want a line that has very little stretch which braid is. No need to worry about wind knots when tight lining. My .02
Want to get a really sensitive rod for tight lining for deep crappie this summer. Thanks for any suggestions.

Hey, TT ... define "tight lining"
Are we talking about vertical jigging (rod in hand), or rod in a holder or laying on the deck (what was called "still fishing" when I was young) and fishing straight down (stationary boat or slow drifting boat), or long line trolling (which I've also heard called "tightlining" here on the site) ??
And what length rod are we talking ??
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
Yep define depths and " tight lining " please
sum kawl me tha outlaw ketchn whales
cast single lure past target...could be 15-20-25 foot of water. Then slowly retrieve.
I switched to drop shotting for panfish 10years ago for deeper lakes in upstate NY summers. push button spincast then grew into med action baitcastors and finally switched to Braid. The whole combination works really well when the weather warms and the fish move away from the Bank and thego fast boats and jet skis appear.
