There’s braid, and then there is braid. Varivas makes some of the finest there is. The Infinity PE X8 comes in a 5.6# test and a 7.5# test. Want to talk fine diameter, the 5.6# test comes in at 0.074mm. Then there is the Double Cross Braid X8. It comes in at 9.6 and 11.4 pound test. A unique line that is braid with polyester…braid that actually will sink. I have used both of these lines. The Double Cross does away with the usual negatives of braid. Then there is the Avani Saltwater Finesse X8. It comes in 5.6# test, 7.5# test, and 9.2# test. All
