I tried 30 different colored hand ties, even the gray ghost. No dice...after watching another couple catch two limits on minnows and I hadn't even got a nibble, I switched to minnows. Momma said bring home some fish. I later found out a couple years ago, I hadn't been to this lake in a long time, came under new management and they sprayed something in the water to kill the weeds. Since then the fish don't want anything but natural baits. Don't know.

Just some input, when my normal size jigs don’t work, I downsize and slow down. Lately I use very small jigs on two pound outfits and stay busy. My favorite jigs are about 1/48. The elephants eat peanuts thing.

Skeet, I thank you for the suggestion. May try some. I have some 1/64 oz sizes I haven't tried yet. I would much rather catch'em on my hand ties than minnows everyday, but will do what it takes for sure. I need to get some ultr chenilles for them small ones.
