Fished the Thill bobber (imaged in original post) yesterday with 4# flour. The jig dropped a little better but still has room for improvement.

I plan to post back when the ESP bobbers arrive and are field tested. I am hoping that the glass bead on top and the brass grommet on the bottom of the tube with make a big difference in the rate of decent of the jig.

I appreciate all of the input rec’d.

I use these Comal cigar peg floats with 1/32 jigs with no problems. I use two pegs. Buy them in bulk at Grizzly Jig.

Can’t remember where I purchased the orange one but a google search might help.

I should add that the line goes through the small holes in the pegs.
Good luck Slip Bobbers, Best Ones, or DIY

I make my floats about 2 1/4 inches. I will add a 1/8 ounce weight if I want it to be a weighted float for bank fishing to get the extra distance to reach a target. My float will work with lures from 1/64 oz to 1/4 ounce which are plenty big for crappie, White Bass, Perch or Bluegill fishing. I weight the float so that 1/2 of the float is below the water line. The HARD PLASTIC STRAW insert does not snag or cut your line either!!!! This float does not crack when it is hit on a rock and you can run over it with a truck and it will still work! Best of all, you do not mind losing it in a brush pile because it only takes pennies to make. This is Shipahoy41 and this float or bobber has my seal of approval.

New twist on them. I am adding ear plugs to the top of these floats. Better visibility on the water. Comments are welcome.
