I have the one's you have mentioned and I like them pretty well. I also have an AllStar dock shooter that I am fond of as well. I also have a clearance barrel Okuma poodle tail that will flat shoot a jig a mile.
I have a B&M 6' Sharp shooter, Walley Marshall 6'6" and a Walley Marshall 7' dock shooter. I have a 6'6" and a 7'6" ACC crappie stick rated for dock shooting. The B&M and the Walley Marshall rods, after using the ACC rods, have to light of an action, for me. The 6'6" Acc works good. The 7'6" seems a little stiff and cumbersome due to its size. What other dock shooting rods have people found to work well ? I'm starting to think l have a rod addiction🤣. Thanks, Don

I use a 6ft BnM Sharp Shooter and I have gotten pretty good with it. I want to try a 5.5 rod to see if I can get more accurate with it. For the docks I shoot being more accurate is more important than distance.
Those floating docks can be hard to shoot for sure

I have the BnM Sharpshooter Six and Wally Marshall Speed Shooter rods. I love the BnM rod the best for dock shooting. I understand about the endless quest for something else. Sometimes ignorance is bliss…..lol.
I never got used to the B&M sharp shooter rod. The 6'6" Walley Marshall was ok till l used the 6'6" acc crappie stix. I guess it's what works for each person.
I'm on team sharpshooter 6! I now have 3 of em and they go every time I'm targeting crappie. I also have a wally marshall 7' and it's ok too. The All star that was mentioned is really good too but not tough. I broke mine when it contacted a pontoon frame during a "shot"
I guess sometimes you need to think before you act!

I've shot docks with everything from 5' to 8' in rod lengths. Most of that dock shooting was on Watts Bar (Tn) & Weiss (Ala) in years past. Not a lot of opportunity to shoot docks on the home lakes I fish, nowadays.
My overall favorite dock shooter rod was a 5'6" ESP UL, until operator error ended it's life ... then I just switched over to my 6'6" ESP PowerLite rod (with equal good results). If I were to have continued trips to those two lakes, or if my local lakes had docks to shoot, I would have purchased a 6' ESP PowerLite rod for that purpose. The reason being that the 6' version does not have a "poodle tail" (extended handle) like the 6'6" version does, and that 6" extension does (sometimes) get in the way by getting hung in my clothing (jacket, hoodie, PFD) on occasions I'm wearing them. The ESP rods have a "very fast" tip and tend to shoot the jig with more force/speed, which translates to greater distance from better "skipping" of the jig across the surface water.
