I often wonder how it came to be that a fella like me got so lucky to find this job , some 15 or so years before I went to work there someone recommended talking to the owner and said it might be a good fit for me and my skill set .
I went on to one of those "other" jobs instead and never knew what I was missing until I landed here 23 years ago. Blessed is just not even the proper description, I negotiated "UNLIMITED" days off for vacation right up front and tend to not abuse said privilege , but to be very sure , how cool is it to make a good living and get to ketch fish whenever you want ?

I Spend some time in search of where the best big crappie spots locally can be accessed without a long drive from work, over 30 minutes one way crimps the slot to ketch pretty heavily.
One spot has really large thick black crappie, but it’s a long ride. Might hit it soon, hear tell the local crowd is not hitting it this year and the bite is on fire ….
