We used to just cut our own . Bundle about a dozen together . We would tie them or wire them every 3 feet to help keep straight . Hang them from one end or lay on flat conrete to dry .

I always wondered how they kept them straight. Your method makes perfect sense. We always purchased ours from Gipson department store and they were stored outside on the side of the house. Dad made some brackets so that we could carry them on the top of the car since they were so long.
