I don't have a home lake, I have so many close to me that are great fisheries, that it simply depends on my mood and or travel path as to where I will stop and pitch jigs.
Some of the closer lakes to me have been destinations that could be considered regular spots I frequent though and most of those around 10 years or so is how long I have been visiting them.
my top 4 lately would be mineral wells, lake worth , weatherford , and benbrook ....
private waters don't count ...right ?

My home lake is Wheeler Lake on the Tennessee River. Particularly the Sportsman Park/Big Creek area. I can remember having to catch my first fish before I could have my Coca Cola and peanut butter and crackers. Lived and fished there for 51 years.

My 1st memories of fishing Ky Lake would be when I was 3 so that would be 64 years.

I was fishing tributaries of what would later become Lake Barkley close to the same. I remember a boat ride on Barkley when it was first dammed and before farmland was flooded. They cut all the big trees but left the small trees and fence rows. Those didn’t last many years but made for great fishing.

I'm like ketchn. I primrily fish the smaller bodies of water around here. Though Stockton is about 1hr maybe 1hr15min. away, Pomme de Tere is about the same, Fellows is about 25 min away. All great fisheries and have fished them all. Been here since Early 2018.

Been fishing Barkley Lake over 50 years. Love the area, so after a being away a few years moved back and plan to stay forever.

I moved here 4.5 years ago. I had lived in this are for 2 years about thirty years ago. I only fished occasionally then but had the same problem I do now, not close to any water that I can run the outboard, or that has lots of habitat. I guess distance is relative, Lake Anna is 1.75 hours away, has a healthy launch fee, and lots of traffic. Lake Moomaw is 2 hours away in the national park. A beautiful deep water lake that is hard to fish. You will be in twenty feet of water five feet off the bank. There are several electric motor only lakes about an hour from the house. I mostly fish these. They range from 40-100 acres in size. Ramps are shallow with small docks. I usually have to put on hip boats to load the boat. Still struggling with the crappie but the brim are pretty cooperative on these little lakes.

lake Palestine , Tx , built my home in 1998. Spent a lot of time in the early years chasing hybrids , with the occasional crappie trip, The last7-8
years have been pretty much full time crappie, I am so spoiled with my boat on a lift in my backyard , Palestine is the only lake I fish these days.
