IF I ever use minnows again this is the one I'll use. It's hanging in my boat barn...
The bed of my pickup holds all the fishing gear i never use.
One of the items is a small Wall Mart type lunch bucket cooler with a hole drilled in the lid for the bubbler hose.
I use small plastic drink bottles of frozen water to keep them cool if necessary.
I would probably take minnows more if it werent so far out of my way to go get them.
Note the word (probably).

Engel bait box for me too & have a 12volt air bubbles system on a switch in my boat. It does a great job keeping them alive.
I just got the Engel 30 quart for minnows and I love it. I know it is probably little overkill but I can store more minnows (top I have had in there is ~260) Getting minnows is a big inconvience due to the location. I love the bubbler as it can run on 2 D batteries, AC plug, or DC plug. Love the Engel pull out net as it makes cleaning and changing water much easier. I am very happy with the purchase!

I need to install a Double Bubble Aireator in my boat I have now. I like to take minnows for the folks I take Spider Rigging later on.

If you're only using a couple dozen at a time I recommend this, it's not too heavy. Otherwise you can take a cooler and drill a hole in the back and run your bubbler hose thru that and use tape or velcro to secure the bubbler
You only need one D battery if you're if running a Bubble box, might work for other boxes too
I think I have 6 minnow buckets in my tackle room. I even recently bought a galvanized unit for nostalgia reasons. I was clearance at Academy for $8. I didn't need it but it brought back memories of me and my late dad crappie fishing with cane poles.
I still have my Dad's galvanized bucket.
I transport mine in a cheap Styrofoam bucket then put them in a trolling bucket that fits in my live well. And get 8 or 10 out at a time. I can't stand the sound of a bubble box. I did have an Engle box rigged to an installed bubble system that was deep in the bow of the boat where I didn't have to hear it. Luckily somebody took it from me. Good riddance was my thought.
