Everyone of my lure’s caught a fisherman, but not all of them have caught a fish. A few never even been for a swim. lol

Well it's good to hear that I'm not alone. I do agree that some lures are more for catching fisherman than fish.

Having come from bass fishing when I was younger and salt water too, I too have the stuff. I pull construction dumpsters that are sometimes used to clean out houses when folks pass on or divorce or whatever. I found a tackle box in a transfer station and stuffed it in the passenger side of the truck til I could look at it later. Put it in the pickup and looked into it on the carport later on. Suffice to say that it was a suitcase style box that had been round since the seventies and was stuffed full of plastics, spinnerbaits and hardbaits. As I sorted through, I thought of all the plugs I had that haven’t seen use in many years. Long story shorter, I arranged them in a couple of boxes and between those and mine, I had over 100 from old to new in the box plugs. Some were collectible Bagley balsa, original devils horse and some I had to look up. Sold them all to a tackle shop owner that’s a collector and got enough to buy new batteries for my boat. Gave away the plastics and cut the ball bearing swivels of a bunch of the spinnerbaits. I’ve been paring things down and if I haven’t used in a couple of years, it becomes someone else’s. Still have rods too, I think I’m down to 36. Oh yeah, I got it bad too. I get around a sale and I have to stuff my hands in my pockets and head for the door—-QUICK!!
Creativity is just intelligence fooling around
I've lost a lure that was catching great fish while on a trip in Canada. Now I buy multiples.
To be honest. I have a ton of artificial bait, hard and soft. 90% of the time I use a slip bobber, and a bare hook tipped with a minnow.

Quick, someone teach me how to fish so I can win this tournament!!!
I used to fall into the rut of buying everything new but realized it is more about presentation than baits/colors . I have shown people with me by catching on bare unpainted lead heads or even a slice of Banana peel .
