    Default Brighter returns

Is there anything out there that I can use for weight for a livescope, that will give me a brighter return so that I will have easier time seeing my bait. I have tried using a egg sinker with a swivel, double jig rig, and a split shot at times. With the water temps here in the 60-65 range with pollen everywhere in the water, right now it’s hard to see my jig, no matter what setting you are using.

Most guys use either double jig or egg sinker and jig. If fishing braid you can see it on livescope as well. Also one of our site sponsors has the eye hole jigs hammer heads which help forward facing sonar.

Does steel egg sinkers have a better return than lead? Wonder if painting them lead sinkers would help? Or painting them steel sinkers? Anybody out there ever tried it?

Try either moss or black emerald color scheme & adjust color limit to see if that helps any. It may clutter up the screen but can really make the jig show up bright. Some folks like blue pallet too.

Turn your Gain up (65-70) and you Color Gain even higher, (75-85) You do not want a clean screen. Might have to play with the numbers. Good Luck.

I understand gain, it’s like sencsativity, but I don’t understand color gain or color limit, please explain.

The first time I went out everything was real good, next time things were not so I adjusted it to what I though would work, now it’s working but not as good as I think it should be, wish I would of wrote down the setting. If I ever get it back to where it was, I will make me a cheat sheet to at least get me back to where I was.
