Default Crappie Magnet - Eye Hole Jigs

Excited to have Crappie Magnet as a site sponsor so placed another order when the Eye Hole jigs were available. My buddy and I split an order to get some of these jigs to try.

I was especially interested in the Hammer Heads which were designed by accomplished tournament angler Brandon Smith. This head has flat wider surfaces that holds more scent as well as gives a better return for forward facing sonar users. I took some comparison pics to show the difference between normal ball head jigs and the hammer heads. Both 1/16 and 1/8 sizes.

Slab mentioned adding sponge in the hole to use Slab Sauce and I had the idea of a wash mitten. Was a bit of a challenge but possible to run it through the hole.

I can’t wait to use these jigs. Either with nibbles or sponge soaked with sauce I think these are going to work nicely.

Good write up. I was just out at the TM headquarters yesterday looking at those. Of course they aren’t for me…I’m all about UL….but looked like quality heads.

    Regards

Blake Phillips is a pretty good fella.
I got to go fishing with him in Eufaula and we didn't have much luck but his electronics got all out of whack after install on a new boat.
Awesome to see a local Dothan man make it in the crappie world.
He had several other ideas and this one hit hard.

Good to hear. Looking forward to trying mine this Sunday. I think I might tie on both the ball head as well and the eye hole on a double jig setup to compare.

Just a follow up. I did the double jig setup and you can tell a difference with these jigs. When they turn just right that flat side really returns a bright signal and they glow compared to the regular ball head jig.

Nice looking jigs and as said thanks for the write up. I have always done well with the TM products. Was just over at Dicks and they had a nice display of the line.

    SuperDave,
After using the eye hole jig heads is there an obvious benefit to using the hammer head over the ball head version. I have a lot of ball heads ordered and fish LS.
