    Default The bite is on!!!!!

Looking for an escape from the sloppy winter weather we have been getting up in Michigan, the wife and I escaped to Florida. We traveled with the boat down to beautiful Bokeelia to spend time enjoying the sunshine, wildlife and chase some salty critters. Although we have been catching a few,

the bite I am referring to didn't come on the end of the line. After a long winter you can imagine I am a good pasty white, and the bugs have been loving that rare cooked flesh. You can't even see um (the bugs or the bites) until the next day when your skin is full of itchy red bumps.

you unknowingly offer up a buffet! Although I hate the smell and rarely will apply it (would rather take my chances without it), I tried the standard sprays for the first 3-4 days to no avail. Hiding inside was not what we came to experience. I remembered reading about the tea tree oil on the site. Willing to try anything to get these critters away, ordered up a few pens of them. Slab got them to me quick and after priming them according to the directions, I applied it on existing bites (mind you these bites don't heal as quick as a mosquito or black fly bites, at least not on me). This stuff puts the itch at bay is cheaper then standard sprays and has a pleasant smell. Been using it for over a week now, and have had great success avoiding additional bites too!!! Looking forward to trying it this summer on the dang mosquitoes and black flies in Michigan. Just thought I would share my experience with it. Fish on!!!

Jeff, those are sand flea bites. They are pretty much everywhere where there's sand here in FL. Yep, not quite as big of a bite as a mosquito bite, but they do itch. My tea tree oil dispenser makes it so easy to apply, just scratch your itch with the wick, works great. Thank you for your review.

And yeah, I actually love the smell of Tea Tree Oil. I think it's therapeutic! Aroma Therapy. lol

I forgot to mention, Crappie.com's Special Blend of Tea Tree Oil is available here: Australian Tea Tree Oil on sale now.

My special blend prevents it's quick evaporation, but Australian Tea Tree Oil is by and far the biggest ingredient. I started off using straight up tea tree oil, and it just evaporates too fast. I added just a little Cold Pressed Grape Seed Oil to act as a carrier, and prevent quick evaporation which allows it to soak into your skin good. Seriously some fantastic stuff, and an even better blend.
