Cable steer foot control trolling motor works great for me. Have had some guides and fishermen call to ask how to snipe open water fish . Takes boat control and right set up . One man said he had separate transducer pole and hand controlled trolling motor . My responce was '' what hand you fish with ?''

I have a pole mount made of aluminum from fish finder mounts com. Mount has clamp I can take my ice fishing livescope bundle on any boat the ice or a pier
I have been using and ice fishing rod in the boat
Sunday had a 1/4 oz spoon and was getting them in 30 foot

Also use a long crappie pole to get it out from the boat

Checknout England expeditions. On Facebook he has daily videos or 3lb fishing on you tube videos a lot of scope footage

I still run a cable steer Fortrex myself, wouldn’t have it any other way.

Not for me. If I get moved toward the fish by the wind and need to turn the TM away from the school to get back on my location, the fish are gonna disappear. on the LS. Foot control on TM and pole mounted seems to work for me. YMMV.

My first trip out went fairly well.. I did a lot of you tube video watching before i went on screen settings. I also asked alot of questions of the kind folks here, got a lot of great feedback, and was quite happy my first trip out. I am using a fishing specialties transducer pole as well, which i think is key for my type of fishing (brushpiles and such).

Glad your first trip out was a good one. You will learn a lot with livescope. Have fun!

For me , mounting on a separate mount is the best. I fish brushpiles 99% of the time. I use spot loc then use the livescope to scan the pile . I can see if I need to
pitch right , left , back or fish straight down.
    your mileage may vary

Wait! What! I thought you just had to turn it on and the big fish jump in the boat!

Kidding of course! I'm in the same boat, just trying to learn how to catch more fish with it. Time on the water is key.
