    Default Best Jig Casting Rod

I need a rod to cast light weight jigs (1/32 to 1/8 oz.). I have been looking at St Croix Panfish series. The ultralight actions seem very "whippy", but I suppose that is needed to cast the light weight jigs. Recommendations?

6.5' ESP PowerLite is what I use for casting jigs. Normally I cast 1/16oz jigs. Rod is NOT "whippy" ... has a very fast action tip, micro guides, graphite split handle (Tenn style handle with rings & 6" extension). (Note: the 5' to 6' versions do not have the split handle)

I held a TFO 7’ trout/panfish UL today. Just firm enough to not be whippy. Firm than the St Croix Light. I my go back and purchase it tomorrow. Seemed just right.
