I bought my boat new last year and it is worth more than I paid for it! I also have an Xpress 19 Bay. Yes it get pushed around by the wind, but at least it ain't a pontoon!
Great boat for a couple of people. Keep it and keep on fishing!

Haha! I’m either getting old or prices are high, or both.

Owned total of 5 boats in my life. As you say when it come time to sell not such a good deal. Except for the one I sold this past August. The boat cost me 357 dollars a year for 7 year’s…..plus upkeep…which was not that much. Of course it was all a perfect storm for selling boats and houses the past couple years. For once I was in right place at right time.

    Regards

Boats have always been pricey, but they have really exploded in price over the last few years. Also, anything that goes on or in a boat cost more.
Yes, as a matter of fact, I do have a retirement plan...FISHING!

I like the boats. Comfort and quality are as good as it gets. However, not only would I have to get up off of my wallet for the boat, but my small motor 1/2 ton p/u would have a tough time pulling it around. Now we tag on another $40,000 for a used 3/4 ton p/u to pull it and live with the diminished fuel mileage they come with. I’m pretty comfy with my ‘02 ford and ‘03 Jon boat that are both paid for and rigged pretty good without the higher expenses if the other options. I’ll be the first to admit there’s times when I’ll either be at, or stay at the ramp while they’re fishing. I’m ok with that too, I don’t have to have every fish, just my share.

Love my old 97 Ranger,,,she was gifted to me by my father in law , so she’s extra special,,,,I only wish my wife get her health back long enough to take her out for a ride,,,,I need a responsible captain/fisherman to take it out a few times to keep her up and running,,,,I probably should sell it, but it’s irreplaceable with todays prices of boats,,,
