When all else fails I always go with Blue Ice. I have caught on a few other colors but blue ice is consistent. White pearl, chartreuse, black /chartreuse, and orange have worked well also at times. Not afraid to change if it seems fit.

Since my fishing trips are more about being on the water and not on catching, i don't let anything less than high winds and lightning send me home.

My go to is a black/chartreuse tube jig. Then I will go to a red/chartreuse tube jig. Then I will try a blue with chartreuse tail handtie. If none of these work I will go through my tackle box until I find what they will bite. When they stop biting that I start over again until I find the new color/jig they will hit.

I may not catch many fish but this keeps me occupied and I'm on the water so I have a good day of fishing, even if I don't have a good day of catching. The only thing that makes it a better day is to have a good buddy fishing with me who shares my love of being on the water.

orange is a good color in muddy water to me , not sure why , but it is a go to in really muddy water for me .
chart as well in some cases when its chocolate milk .
clear waters sometimes require natural colors for me , something that is a close second to the real thing .
something with glitter in it and in the white range and or blusish , clear as well with glitter .
bright chart in dark tea colored waters ...
depending on clarity I also like to go with lots of contrasts.

I was in some pretty muddy water awhile back & a fluorescent orange baby Shad style bait I made is what I caught them on. Tried several other colors too but it by far got bit a lot better.

Muddy is gold and stained is green/yellow both in CB Sliders. Clear is salt and pepper or natural minnow color on any curly tail brand.
