I run a GPSMAP 1022.
Hi all, i'm looking to take the plunge into livescope here fairly soon. I'm trying to do some research and wanted to ask what is the 'go to' 10 inch screen from Garmin for livescope? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
I have a 93sv and a 106sv. I like them both. Believe it or not the 106sv seems twice as heavy as the 93sv. So if that matters at all there you go. I feel they do similar jobs as far as seeing the fish with the livescope. I feel the extra inch in screen size ain't a big deal. But that's me.

I like the ol sayn, buy once cry once. I wood buy the 1222 again!! Go with someone running a 10” then go with someone running a 12”. BUT, I do think there is a reasonable limit. I have no use for a 16” graph on the front of my boat. Also with the GPSmap series the $150 Navionics chip really helps out big time too

I have the 106SV and love it but sure I'd love the 122SV even more! Sometimes hit the touch screen when not intended but the fix is as easy as touching BACK.
Very Easy to use.
Not sure I've ever noticed the weight thing Slab spoke about, it's never been off the boat.
Thanks all, man you guys are fast!! I have watched videos on youtube and see the 1022 model is quite popular. It's so much to look at it gets a bit overwhelming to be honest. I appreciate all the feedback. I really would like a 12" screen, but i think the 10" is more my budget... We'll see, maybe i'll ask for forgiveness instead of permission on this one .

Yep, if you never take it off it don't matter. My boat sits in a boat house and I remove my units after every use. Just a paranoid kid from Chicago I guess, but better safe than sorry.

I have a 93SV and never saw the need to spend extra for a screen that is one inch larger. If I do upgrade it will be for a 12inch unit. Everybody has different wants and needs.

Dont forget the 106 has two network ports, so you can run livescope and network to another unit without needing the $250 network hub and to have that mounted and wired in to the boat. Thats a huge plus.
