Crappies have enormous mouths, those big shop vac mouths will suck in a #2-2/0 head all the same... Well any fish over 10-11" i guess.

HA !! I have #2 Aberdeen hooks on my 1/32 & 1/16oz jigheads and catch Crappie smaller than 10-11" on them all the time. Even catch the occasional Bluegill with a committed attitude.
I like the #2 hook so I can use bigger/thicker plastics and still have a good gap between the top of the plastics and the hook point, something I wasn't always getting from jigheads with a #4 hook.
number 6 is my preferred hook size , I like to ketch more fish and less cover , ballheads mostly as they tend to run true and not act crazy down below , and collars just tear up plastics ,so no collars , sickle hooks seem to be better to me than regular j hooks as well , of course this is just me and my silly way of ketchn them .
and as always its like ford and chevy and so on and so forth, use what suits you best

I too like #6 hook in either sickle or J hook. I do however like the wedge head jigs and pill heads pretty good. That new age minnow is pretty also.
used to use only walleye minnow heads back when .but after watching them fall a bit crazy and dart a bit when you 'jig' one , i became a fan of the round heads most of the time , acting like a real minnow can have it's advantages and then again some disadvantages as well ....
nothing worse than a crazy minnow down there trying to NOT get eaten on the end of your line in heavy cover ...

I like the Arkie Pro heads. Can get them at Walmart. Light wire sickle hooks, fairly inexpensive.
Grenada Lake Tackle 1/8, 1/16 . Any smaller I use crappie Magnet cross lock .
