I like new gear myself
Does anyone have a Sam Heaton Super Sensitive 7' rod? What about a Duckett Crappie Slayer? Got the itch to buy a new rod (you all know what I'm talking about). Thanks for any advice.

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
I have 4 BM SHSS 7’ rods. Really like em. Hav most paired with Shimano Sedona 1000 series reels w 4lb TL XL. BUT, if I were fishing around brush, stumps, lots of cover, I dont think I would near as high on this rod. Good rod but you cant manhandle a fish with it

Both on the wimpy side to me
broke my 7’ SH on my last trip to Centerhill.
held the Duckett a couple weeks back felt great but they only have it in light action . So too wimpy for my liking .
I just bought a Duckett Crappie slayer and I can’t say enough good things about it. I was originally using a 13 Omen Black (Medium Light, Extra Fast) rod as my crappie rod and wanted something slightly more limber for extra sensitivity and it ended up being exactly what I was looking for. Just my .02!

look at Walmarts version in the Ozark trail line up if you want to pinch a penny on a killer rod just under 7
might think about a few other versions as well , the panfish series Dobyns are sweet and Tica makes some great stuff as well , there are about a zillion 7 footers that are the bomb and the sky is the limit on price too, the possibilities are just about endless , the Vendetta rods are nice sticks and the list goes on , the Norsemen line up is good
likely in the end it depends on what "feels" best in your hand is my thought , that BnM shaprshooter ALMOST got to go home with me one time , it had "that" feel .....just saying
The number maybe closer to a brazilion good rods. LoL. I don't own either rod but I've fished with both. Points awarded to the Duckett in horsing a fish ability. I'm fishing a pair of custom rods(don't read expensive into that) they are light action dock skipping rods. The blanks are made by MHX and the handles are custom carved from cork. They are absolutely amazing rods. Paid $120 and they are lifetime replaced for a 60$ core charge. You don't have to go mass produced run of the mill if you don't want to.
