My brother is a firefighter/paramedic so when he got off duty yesterday we hit the lake. Took a little bit but we hit the mother load. We kept 25 nice ones and pitched everything after that back as we had enough to clean and were content. Yes those are crappie.
He is also the fire chief of a rural VFD. Alot of their trucks are still running old halogen light bars that arent very visible especially in bright light. He is saving for a pumper and the board wont cut loose of the money anyway so I bought some LED for the front and rear of the trucks and have been installing them for him. It is a good way to give back to the community and spend time with my brother. He added me as a member last month as I am a former career ff/emt, have a degree in municipal fire science, and love it still. I made more calls that year than some of his other folks.

Nothing better than time spent fishing
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along

Looks like you and your brother had a great day. Time short.
Even though there is still snow in the shaded areas them darn one hour fuels cured out. Folks burning trash had an ember get out and it burned 350 acres or so before being suppressed. It was a sloppy mess in the pastures.
