    WOW ya"ll , done learnt sumtim here on crappie.com , after 60 plus years a ketchn, I had ZERO idea they had sized them by number , I thunk theres them there lil bitty ones , kinda small ones , medium heavy ones and them big ole golf ball ones ,,,,,,

    Why not a heavier jig. A lift bite is hard to detect with a split shot. I do however understand the double rig for LS.

    I’ve also found sometimes they don’t want that big heavy jig but readily take a small one. Split shot helps get it down quicker.
