Default Fishing tables - show ‘em off.

I’m looking to build a cleaning table to setup clean a few fish and put back up. Right I use a plastic folding table but it’s too short for me (6’1”). I need something waist to belly button high otherwise I kill my back and neck.

Ironing board all the way I get them at garage and estate sales. Best thing for my back I take them to the lake with me and clean right at the truck.

I'm with you, at 6'3" tall the folding table thing went out the window with me, way too low. I made a cleaning table that sits on my tailgate. The end is open so I place a small tub at that end to catch everything. It's made from a 4x8 sheet of cutting board material and slides in my truck bed to transport. I use it to clean fish on Ross Barnett when in the campground.

Being as I live in "The Granite Capital Of The World" like most around here I have a granite table in my backyard. On one end I added a couple 4"X4" two foot long boards and have a piece of countertop on top of that. I also built a top over that end of the table in case of rain or hot sun and added a granite slab to stand on. Then I poured a bit of cement where needed so I can wash everything away when finished. It aint all that pretty but it works well.

Got a pic? Sounds like a good idea.

And yes being tall it’s tough doing anything in the kitchen with low countertops without the crock and tension btw shoulders and in low back.

I also use a old ironing board and a 5 gal bucket to clean fish. I just hang it up when I am done.

Workmate bench with a piece of counter top that they cut out for a double kitchen sink.
