    Default Pontoon Crappie

Here is an interesting question for you all:

I have fished crappie off my bassboat and also my jon boat for years. My wife and I picked up a pontoon for the family to enjoy NUMEROUS lake days for just pulling into a cove and floating, swimming, relaxing. It is a older Triton Fishing Pontoon....22'. It has a very nice set-up, but just like everyone does, the previous owner had modified to his wants and needs. Last year, this was my main crappie fishing boat, as we used it to take some adult residents on a couple fishing trips.

I have put some things on it that I like, but for those of you who have pontoons you fish off of, or those of you who have fished off pontoons, what are some things that are "must haves" when it comes to fishing from a pontoon? Sure, I've replaced the seats with Millenium seats, nice removeable troller, a nice big Lowrance HDS, some creative storage, etc. Shoot....I even have a bilge pump rigged to pump water up to the top of the boat, to be used as "running water" for a removeable fillet board that attaches to my hand rail. But, I would love to hear, and see pictures if able, of what your "must haves" are.

It's tinkering time for the next month before I start getting out, and tinkering allows me to "think fishing" and cope without being on the water....

Long handled dip net would be a must have.
