    Default Electric fillet knife?

Thinking about picking up an electric fillet knife and trying to decide which one. Cleaned 25 with a regular knife the other day and it took about an hour. People seem to swear by an electric knife and was thinking about giving it a try. I see many people suggesting to sack up and buy the cordless bubba blade.

What is everyone’s thoughts on a good electric knife? Worth it or not? If so, what brand/model? Any tricks or tips?

    thanks

There are many opinions here about electric knives. I have had the Cordless Bubba for 2 years now. It has worked fine for every job I have used it for. I usually only clean crappie with it. Catfish I fillet out around the ribcage with a regular dullet knife to not open the stomach cavity up.

I’m just using the cheap Izard trail from Walmart. It’s corded but only like $15.47 & does a good job.

    Splurge with the Bubba Lithium
Just picked up one during Black Friday
Cut 50% of time off first time using it
Strong motor, very flexible blades and the rubber grip is slip proof.
    Also came with two batteries
    You won’t regret it.

I’ve heard very good things about the pro series bubba. Do you use a filet knife to cut the rib bones out or use the bubba for both parts of the process?

Check out the Old Timer lithium ion cordless knife. They can be had for around 75 bucks and it is a very nice knife.

I have a Bubba Blade Lithium being delivered tomorrow. It will be a couple of weeks before I use it but when I do I will update my post here.

Did you find a good deal on it? Looks like standard price is around $220 now

I use it to cut through the rib bones, cut the fillet from the skin, and remove the rib section from the fillet
