I have used Mr Twister for years. Purchase new blades every other year or so and you should be fine. Mine did get warm after cleaning a mess of fish. But, my dad sold me on an American Angler corded electric. This thing has some power, feels good in the hand, and has NEVER let me down. This is my corded "go to"; however, I now own a Bubba Lithium cordless.....looking forward to using it. My family loved me for Christmas time for me to obtain that one.

X2 I use Berkley Slime Fillet blades in a black and decker super flexible blade for a electric knife.

I say start cheap and work your way up. You’ll find that the cheap ones are no where near as good after you use a more expensive unit. Pick your price range and start from there. Good luck.

I got the Bass Pro XPS cordless as a gift. I have been happy with it and you can buy blades for it. I have also heard that the Bubba was really good

My tomorrow delivery turned out to be today. My Bubba Lithium has been sitting at Fedex distribution in Horn Lake for 6 days. SlowEx they need to change their name to. I did get a deal $144 delivered. It was a one day thing.

For years I ran the Mr. Fishermen and other cheaper knives and after getting the Rapala HD corded knife I wondered why I waited so long getting something that gets 'er done. This knife will run thru rib bones on a larger crappie like they aint even there. Whether you go with the Rapala or the Bubba knife you will be very pleased with their performance. I went with the corded knife because it's what I have always had and it was ALOT cheaper, but you still get the powerful performance of the lithium powered knives. Here's the one I have.
