    Thumbs up Going Fishin

Hi All. New to this site. Have found it real interesting and helpful.

Fished quiet a bit up until 5 years ago when I bought some property in N Mo. Spent all of my time working on it.

Retiring 5/15/05 and am going to start a new career fishing. Mostly for crappie. On vacation until retirement. :D :D

New boat should be in sometime in the next week or so. Should arrive at about the right time. :D :D

Will be visiting the site often to pick up any new tips.

Welcome BlueJay, are you still in Missouri then for your retirement? If you are sticking in around Missouri, be sure to check out the Missouri board on this site also. You will find a good group of us guys and there should be some reports on the lakes if not surely some can speak up. Also we ask that you fill in some information on yourself, by clicking the "user cp" at the top left, that way we have a little info and where your from.

    Hi ! Bluejay
Just retired 11/04 and so far it's great. Going to take up Fishing as Main Hobby myself.
I just hope the wife can keep the yard work done so it does not interfear with fishing.
What part of N. MO are you in ?? It's been windy & cold here in NW MO been hitting a few ponds but is slow & way to early. Some have caught afew at Mozingo but they earned them in the wind & cool weather. Me I intend on enjoying it when I go.

I live in Independence but I have 92 ac. east of Bonanza Wildlife Area. My wife works for the Conservation Dept. but no jobs close to farm. Keep hearing rumors of a lake being built N of me but no sure thing. Would like to move up there and get out of the city. Have several lakes near by. Bluesprings, Longview, Jacomo, and Prarie Lee. Getting a 9.9 Hp. kicker motor on my boat to use on the smaller lakes. Plan on hitting Smithville a lot and sometimes Truman. ot some buddies retiring also and plan on fishing with them as well as trading info.

Hey, CrewChief.... I also am looking at retirement... and I hope my HUSBAND can hold down the fort while I pursue my 1st love, fishing.

We finally have our home on the lake after growing up in West Texas (desert) and I am loving being able to wake in the morning and stumble down to the dock with a cup of coffee and sometimes still in my nightie. What a life !

It just doesn't get any better, especially when HE has the grease hot when I come in.

Great fishin' to all of you..
