I got permanently banned from a "fishing" site/forum for not being a jerk like the rest of them on that site back when ...
found crappie.com and realized there was a heaven when it comes to internet "fishing" sites/forums
and those that have followed my adventures/antics for any length of time know it's true
I think they even banned Ez for being my friend on that site as well as he was trying to stand up for me, when the keyboard commandos trolled all around talking all kinds of brave trash about me.
I didn't even know him except for there , he even went so far as to open his own "fishing" site/forum for a few years for us and the others who got booted out to hang around in , not kidding....
so YES I SECOND ANY and ALL who flaunt this wonderful lil slice of internet heaven

I was banned four times from that site during that episode. I was sent an email with the first ban, saying I would never be allowed to be a member of that site again as my IP address had been banned as well. That amused me while confirming how ignorant and stupid the moderators were who were involved with this, since banning my IP address also banned anybody else using that shared IP address for that ISP from ever joining the site.

I accepted his challenge, promptly signed up with a different username, made three posts and then sent the moderator who had sent that ban notice an email, giving him the new username and explaining to him that he and his fellow moderators were not smart enough to permanently ban me from anything if I did not wish to be banned. He promptly banned my new username and IP address. So I created a third username and did the same thing. He promptly banned that username.

So I created a 4th username and did the same thing. This time I also told him that I was willing to burn as many IP addresses as he wished, as that prevent potential thousands of shared users of the IPs he was banning from ever becoming a member of their site. I told him he could not ban me if I did not wish to be banned and suggested he do a little research on how the internet actually worked.

He did not ban this 4th username nor did he remove the posts I had made nor the posts I continue to make once every few months to test and see if the username is still usable.

I traced down the founder of that forum and sent him an email, telling what was going on. And to be fair, I believe that site is better managed now than it was when I was banned from it. I believe the main problem at that time was just a few of the moderators and their friends. I don't spend much time on it when I do check on it but I don't see the racist comments and the flaming posts on it that I saw back then.

I actually am a fairly easy going person but I have always had a problem tolerating ignorance and stupidity. As I get older it becomes harder to tolerate ignorance as their is no excuse for being ignorant as ignorance is the result of laziness and a closed mind. I haven't decided if stupidity is a generic trait that can't be overcome or if it is also a result of laziness and a closed mind.

I shouldn't gloat like this but it still amuses me whenever I think of it. Only site I have ever been banned from and I suspect I hold the record for being banned from it four times. I am ezgoing but I am not a Saint.

This is why I am so thankful to the moderators of this forum.

I found out later in them episodes the owner of those "fishing" forums across several states ,sold them to folks and had his own "hate" sight set up by all the enemies he created along the way , it was where folks he let his buddies do that bs too, had some REALLY ugly things say about him and his friends and family !
I of course didnt indulge in it , but the thought crossed my mind too for sure ...

Oh, no, that is not the case. I have only been banned from that one site. I usually leave hate sites or sites with bad moderators so I ban them instead of them banning me. It doesn't normally make sense to become involved in arguments with fools as those watching the argument might wonder which person was the fool.

I made an exception in this case as I did not like some of the things said in the email sent me telling me I was banned. And then I kept it between me and the moderators. The posts I made under the new usernames did not justify banning the username.

I really am ezgoing most of the time but I will admit it has become harder to stay that way the last ten years.
