Maybe by the weekend we might see some open water here with the warmer temps and rain coming in. Probably get out today and check the ice thickness. Couple of years ago I watched a guy step off the dock to see how thick the ice was and it held him until he started jumping up and down. About the 3rd or fourth jump and KABOOM, through the ice he went. Don't know what he was thinking but he got a laugh out of me when he climbed out dripping and shivering. Hopefully some KABOOM time before the new year.

Being the coward I am, walking on ice is not for me. If I didn't fall through the ice I would slip and fall on the ice, busting my rear. So I will leave ice testing, ice walking and ice fishing to the braver souls in this world!
