Wish I had a good friend, I could count on, good friends are hard to come by, when you have moved around all your life chasing jobs and money to make a living.

Ketchn has exaggerated any good personality traits that I may have, which is a huge assumption on anybody's part that I have any. In fact, he has so blown them out of the water that I don't recognize who he is referencing.

I will always miss the fishing trips with Ketchn and H and the good times we had. Even when the crappie was not cooperating we had a good time. Good friends are indeed hard to find.

I miss Ketchn's bluegill tacos even more than the chili dogs. He would filet enough small bluegills (50-60) to make enough tacos for 4-5 of us. And they were delicious. Now that is true friendship! Chili dogs are easy to make, it takes hard work to make bluegill tacos. And yes, he really can filet 3-4 inch bluegill.

But Ketchen, I have hopes that you and the family can make it up here for a vacation this coming year. The crappie machine will be ready to go when you arrive and I may even know where to find a few by then.

Hope you can make it. You have a place to stay if you and the family come this way. While I will not try to guarantee you catching trips I will guarantee you some fishing trips. But given your fishing abilities you probably won't have any problem catching. And we can play with the underwater camera I bought for these clear waters.

I changed my ride last week. Traded the pickup in for a Corolla Hybrid. Took a beating on the trade-in as big pickups are not as popular here as they are in Texas. But the pickup was too big for the narrow city streets here and I did not appreciate the gas mileage when I was paying 5 bucks a gallon for gas. The Corolla is small enough for the streets and at 55-60 miles per galleon I can live with the gas prices.

But I will admit I miss driving that pickup truck. Small sedans are not the same.

the Corolla rides ok for a small sedan but it is a small sedan, not a large pickup. As to gas mileage my 150 got 17-20 miles per galleon around town, the hybrid gets 55-60 mpg around town. The only thing I will say about my 150 pulling my pontoon up here was it had a hard time passing gas stations.

Haven't tried the Corolla on a trip yet but I'm told it only gets around 50 mpg on trips where you are driving long distances. But in town it gets 3 times the gas mileage my 150 got and only costs $60 to fill the tank instead of the $125 the 150 cost. And doesn't need fill-ups near as often. So I will accept the small car ride, as much as I liked my 150.

My old neighbor had a 150. I asked him once how he liked the power and he did and went on to state it could pass anything but a gas station. $5 gas with a PU truck hurts for sure!

much like my truck , at 250,000 miles she will still flat out hurt your neck if you punch it from go , but to be sure she gets thirsty if you run her that way
