If you are considering a pflueger you should consider this sale on the President XT. It is much better than the president. Name: Screenshot_20221222-222205_Chrome.jpg

I would be all over this deal if they had it in a size 20 or 25. They also have the President on sale for $49 which is a great price and they have it in a size that would fit a Sam's Super Sensitive rod.

I keep 2 of these rods plus 2 of the Acc 7’6” spinning rods on deck of my boat. Shimano Sedona 1000’s are on all 4. Mabe I just aint as picky as some, but I do want my rigs as close to being bakanced as I can WITH a decent sized spool. We cast and the small reels put to much memory in the line for my liking. BUT, as these reels go away I will start upgrading on them. But I really really like these rods especially when the bites are very light. Plus it dont break the bank when you buy them!!

I've bought a few of them in the 2000 & 2500 sizes per CrappiePappys recommendations & they are definitely a great inexpensive reel for crappie fishing. Just a little over 20 bucks instore at walmart but can be had cheaper than that online & i've been completely satisfied with them.

I have one of the Xt Pfleugers , pretty nice , I have 2 of the Shimano Saharas pretty nice and one Lews laser lites to name a few
have not held a 7 B n M , but would venture to say anyone of these mentioned would pair well with it .
IF ....Durability is a factor in the equation , the Shimano Saharas seem to be outliving the rest age wise and abuse wise
The Pflueger is holding its own with them but no where near their age and or abuse/use as of yet , just saying

I just got this rod yesterday from the local Wally World. Put a Daiwa Revros LT1000 on it and it balances perfectly. You can sometimes find that reel for $50 on sale and there isn't a better $50 reel on the planet. I generally prefer Shimano, but the Revros is a real bargain in the $50 price range.

I used to like the Pflueger Presidents, but the price for them has skyrocketed in the last couple of years. Bought mine for $39, but the last few places I saw them they were around $70.
