Notice i said i'd like one as a dedicated livescope monitor because that's all i would want one for. I sure wouldn't be watching tv on one while i was fishing.
Love the idea!
Hate the idea!
It really doesn't matter

Right now, I have a laptop with a 15" screen, but the HDMI cable is running to an older 32" TV that I use as a monitor. It really spoils you. Now, when I have to use the computer alone, I find myself being a little annoyed that it's so small.
I'd like to use a 2nd screen for my livescope, but I fear the price will be out of my budget for the Garmin. I just spent my stash buying the Livescope. I need to use and enjoy that for a while. Maybe next year.
Garmin Guru on Youtube talks about Using the units Wi-Fi capabilities and viewing the Livescope on a 12" I-Pad for another person in the boat. He has a video about this.

42" screen for live scope with the Super Mario Brothers music playing to the action on the screen. Kids would love it
The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
All this brings up a question since the black box does all the processing does the screen just display what the black box puts out? What is the signal from the black box is it something a video in could handle?
My new pontoon came with a stereo with four speakers. I've had it for a year and it has only been turned on once when a friend fishing with me turned it on. I asked him to keep the volume low so as not to disturb other people that might be fishing nearby. Since we were the only boat fishing that area he got the message and turned it off.
I now have two garmin screens up front, the 126 and a 93sv. Nice thing about the 126 is it allows you to hook a second unit to it. But I would love to be able to hook a 20" screen to livescope.
