Hate to hear that. Condolences and prayers sent for friends and family.
I was informed this morning that my main fishing partner and Great friend passed last night. Frank Bean was in a lot of my post. He lived to catch Slabs.
None of us are guaranteed tomorrow. One of my friends, age 58, just found out last week that he has stage 4 pancreatic cancer. He knows unless a miracle happens, this'll be his last deer season & Christmas. Right now he seems OK with it.
I'm sure you'll miss your friend, Mr. Frank Bean, but I bet he wouldn't want anyone being sad for long. I surely wouldn't. When my time comes, I hope everyone who survives me enjoys life and is good to one another.....and catches a few crappie from time to time too.
Sorry for losing your friend.
I'm sorry to hear of your friend's passing. Good fishing buddies are a treasure.
I grew up in a Christian family. I still attend church and have tried to live a good life. I can't say I've been a good witness to folks but hope I'll be remembered as a good person. That said, my grandmother was a Christian lady who talked often about Heaven. Her vision of Heaven was a place where we would spend eternity with our Lord and Savior, our Christian friends and loved ones, doing the things we enjoyed most on earth. I plan on spending my eternity on Heaven's version of Grenada Lake.

Sorry for your loss. There is something about a good fishing buddy that is hard to explain to folks that never had one. Whether it’s the deep conversations in the car on the way to or home, or the long silences on the water, there is a life long bond that will always bring a smile to your heart. There is also a hole that can never be filled. Prayers for you, Frank, and his family.
