Question Trying to figure out Livescope mounting with limited options

Greetings all. I have an old, dented-up 3-bunk jon boat, cobbled together from Craigslist to crappie fish from. Not pretty, but it gets me out there:

This weekend, a neighbor sold me a brand new Livescope 32 system that should work with my 93SV, and I'm excited!

Everyone sets Livescope up @ the bow of the boat. My Garmin is on my console so I can use the mapping charts and sonar while running. I know buying a second unit would be best, but I can't justify the expense for the little fishing I do.

If I move my 93SV up front, I lose my mapping and SV ability from the helm. Hard to learn a lake that way.
If I run the Livescope cable to the helm, I'd have to fish from the helm or watch the unit from a distance while on either platform.

So, what do I do? Does anyone out there have Livescope running to their helm?
I'm looking forward to any thoughts, comments or experiences you can share with me. Thanks in advance.

I wouldn't want to leave it at console and try using Livescope. I would move to the front for Livescope and then find another cheaper unit for the console. The older 93sv should be able to find a used one pretty cheap

What SuperDave said, find another Garmin unit that will work with LS or another brand unit for console and move the 93 unit.

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!

Get a ram mount and swing the wires back and forth so that you can use it in both places. Just don't put it all the way to the bow, use it off the side of the bow is all. Looks like you'd only be shifting it three or four feet.

This one I've already put a lot of thought into..... The head unit snaps into the cradle where it's mounted now. Install another cradle and power harness up front and move between the two while moving spot to spot. Keep all the LS equipment up front and deploy it when stopped for fishing. Similar to my portable unit that uses a ram mount and ball inserted into an Attwood/Roberts base. Clear as mud???

Lvs32 ducer on a ram mount too. Deploy it when you use it. Kinda need one anyway cause the terrova is not conducive to mounting one anywho.

Gotcha. I was thinking he still wanted to use it when driving as well.

That would be using his other sv transducer which is likely already installed at his stern. Hopefully his wire installation allows for movement to the front.
