I've heard good things on the Rapala. This video shows it too!

Not knocking the Rapala but if he had used Mr Twister blades on the Bubba it would have cut better, none of the blades that come with the knife are worth using, IMO.

I think the Bubba battery was about dead also. I am going off of the apparent "no load" speed compared to mine, and my Bubba does not "ramp up" to full speed, it is comparable to the Rapala.

I’ve had and used every one of these knives. The bubba was my least favorite of the bunch. The blades were terrible and it didn’t fit my hand very well. Paid $110. for it. Sold it for $85. Love my AA but they need to step up their game and put a cordless in their lineup. I’m currently using the R12. Very impressed with it. Blades are good but it’s even better with AA shark blades. The titanium coated ones cost a little more but are well worth it. If or when American Angler goes cordless, I’ll definitely give them a try. I’m not burning up any of these knives. I just have the luxury of being able to get and use them.

Did you use the blades that came with the Bubba? I threw my blades away and am using Mr. Twister blades.

Yes I did. That’s the main reason I sold mine.

    Thanks for the info.
I have been looking at some YouTube videos on which cordless knives could be best suited overall and looking at where the Best Buy on a Rapala?

It's not the numbers or the size, it's the time spent on the water!
