I would not get the 12. Either the 32 or new 34 you will be ok with. Personally if it was me and I didn’t have either I would buy the newer LVS34.
Morning fellows today I bought 2 garmin echomap ultra 106SV, want to know which livescope transducer to buy the lvs32 or the lvs34, it’s says something on here about a number 12 transducer that does not need the black box. I know absolutely nothing about this, so please help me get started in the right direction.

From what I’ve seen the newer unit is more powerful and easier to plug and play and not need as much adjustment. It has good target separation. It also is new so will only be improving with each update from Garmin. If you enjoy casting and fish at any distance then it’s clearer further out. Most crappie fisherman though fish within 30’ and the older lvs32 handles this pretty good if dialed in. While the lvs32 is good I think garmin has done all they can with it. This is just my opinion though and like stated I think you will be fine with either. I have the lvs32 and will not be upgrading. It does everything I need it to. If money is an issue definitely go with 32 and I think you’ll be happy.
