    Default painting jig heads


    don't want to get into powder coating, any other alternatives to something a little tougher than finger nail polish

    I just use sally hansons because i figure i'll lose them pretty quick anyway. They do make a vinyl paint that some use.

    It’s so easy to do, and you’d need a belt sander to scratch the finish. LOL

    Just bought more dollar store finger nail polish yesterday is my native American name...
    Lasts as good as about the life of a jig unless you be hammering rocks and concrete

    Powder coating is so easy that I never considered any other method. Barlows has a new powder paint that that you heat up the jig head and dip it. You then heat it up again and it gives you a rock hard finish. I have some on order and will report my findings once I give it a try.

    But it doesn't chip off much faster than powder coats either.
    Once you dent the lead it ALL chips off

    There is this new type of powder paint called Stardust that is supposed to be extremely durable. I haven’t used any but Takeum has used some.
