Default 13 Fishing omen panfish and trout first use report

    Cut to the chase:

It fishes "stiffer" than my other ultralights. Meaning, it seems to have more backbone. I'd say it's somewhere between ultra light and light. It's not quite an ultralight, but not quite as stiff as a light either....so...ultralight and a half?

Sensitivity: slight bit more than my Pflueger Trion im6....but I didn't catch a fish on it, so I'll report back when I do. I'm judging this by how well I felt the blade on my beetlespin rotating.

The fast tip on it is great.

Worth the $130? I'm not sure yet...but leaning towards "no". Thusfar, it's about on par with my Trion that I bought as a combo for $70.

Perhaps my opinion will change once I actally catch something on it lol

Sounds like it might be a decent dock shooter

I bought the 5’6” omen panfish and I’d have to agree with your assessment so far .
I’ll add , I feel the reel seat is a little heavy .
    Worth $130 ? No .
    I prefer my 6’ TFO T&P . About $20-$30 cheaper and a better Panfish rod .

Thanks for the report, and I hope you warm up to the rod. I’ve had a few like that. I’m pretty sticky about feeling before I buy now.

IMO , The Defy Silver seems to be is a better rod , especially for the money .
