Default My Boat Rusted from lack of use

Gasket rotted and water found the Crack. Easier to build a new box. 10 years sitting on the water caught up with it. The fix is easy, but is time consuming. What better way to consume time?

A little dielectric grease would help those connections out in the event of moisture intrusion.

Yep. But a waterproof box is supposed to be waterproof too.

Rarely are those boxes as waterproof as they claim to be. Rtv sealant on both sides of the gasket does help increase it's water resistance. Also mounting the box where the lid is the facing up helps it shed water off of it's drip edge. Hard to keep water out of an electrical box in any case.

Yep! That rusted nut is supposed to be stainless steel. Nuts are from Tractor Supply, made in China of course.
