B&M, Wally Marshall Classic Series, ACC Crappiestick, just to name a few. The B&M 75 Series is a nice looking rod that has a great feel in the store. I have not fished with one, but I have not had a B&M rod that didn't fish well
I am looking for a rod to give as a Christmas present, but I'm picky. It will be used for trolling (not spider rigging).
Features I want are these:
Under $100
Casting rod
7-8 ft length
medium power
not glass
I am not interested in store brands such as Bass Pro, or Cabela's brand. Not trashing them... just not what I want.

The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along
I initially wanted BnM or ACC but they only make spinning rods

I would go to FishUSA and do a search on the rods they have. You can specify trolling rods and length and narrow down some choices. Or you could maybe call Grizzly Jig and ask someone there if they have a recommendation.
go to Proanglertackle.com
I use the 8 foot rod trolling out back of the boat. great rod. You get a deal if you buy six. Small independent company in Texas. Will not sell to big sporting goods store. I have used all of their rods 14-6' with excellent results. i have been dealing with them for over 10 years

I have the 8' Pro Angler cork handle rod and I really like it. I don't troll with it though, I use it more for casting or jigging.

Brush Buster, SuperDave... what are the blanks made of? Can't find that info on their website
I honestly don’t know the specifics on the rod, and I didn’t see it listed either on website. I would contact them and ask any questions directly with them.

silverside thanked you for this post
Ok Dave, I just called them. The blanks are a custom blend of graphite and fiberglass. Sounds like a similar type blank as Ugly Stik. I have 3 different Ugly Stiks and they are great for my use of them. I believe I will order one. Thank you both for the suggestion!

I used to use my 6' Compre rod to Push jigs with (as the 2nd or 3rd in line rod in my spread), and it did a good job.
(lowest price I found > Shimano Compre Casting Rod )
