I use 10 lb mono. I use it mostly to catch blue gill with a float.
I’ll get some braid in it one day.

All my spinning stuff is those Zebcos from wallyworld. $9.95 each. Did find some at Ollie's last month for $8.00 each. Bought all they had. Been using them for 4 + years with no problems.

I've got a Zebco Omega Z02 that I like a bunch. Very smooth. Never tried braid with it (I've never tried/used braid at all). Came on a Zebco "Omega Graphite" 5'6" ML spincasting rod. Works a treat for throwing jigs off a dock or drop shotting, but doesn't cast 1/16oz real well. A Light power spincasting or casting rod would be lovely, but durned if I can find one. Bought it primarily for fishing my little pond though, so not real worried about it. I've got a Shimano Sedona 3000 on a 7' M & a Pflueger President 20 on a 5'6" L for my boat/lake needs, so not a big deal at this point.

Bought the wife a Zebco 33 Micro/5'6" UL combo for dock & pond use, but I'd like to bump 'er up to a 33 Platinum, or the Pflueger President on a 6' L for taking to the lake.

Head's up- MidwayUSA has the Zebco Omegas on sale for less than $40. They're calling it the Pro SZ, but from the pics it looks just like my plain ol' Omega.

we have lots of them laying around for the women and kids trips , I like the lil mini 22 best myself on a micro lite rod ....pretty fun
but we have a 202 on a garage sale rod that is a trooper too ....just not near as light .
the simplicity and ease of operation are hard to beat

Looked it up on Amazon: only $10, free s/h. The 202 is $7.46 at Walmart..Great reels for beginners.

I caught my very first bass on a Zebo 202 with a 3ft fiberglass rod. I was around 9 years old which means I caught that 2 pounder in 1972. I thought it was a whale.

You got that right, they are not all the same
