Found an interesting theory that the crappie go through the same hormonal changes in the fall that they do in the spring but the difference in why it’s not a spawning event is due to the water temps going from cooler to colder in fall and in spring from cooler to warmer.

    Anyone heard this theory?

on another media platform some suggested something similar to this and some mentioned lake turn over as a contributing factor coupled with the daylight hours and water temps.
