might NOT be a crappie , just saying
could be a big ole turtle walking around slowly under water and stepping on it ....
thought hmmmm, kinda a strange feeling take , sort of extra slow
it could happen you know ....

that fella and or gal was "grazing" along the under side of the dock my friend , the bite was only about 2 to 3 foot deep parallel to walkways and moving along pretty good.
and in the end , my jigs typically get to try from the bottom to the top and or vice versa and everywhere in between ....
with a disclaimer that if the graph says otherwise, I will concentrate my efforts on the appropriate/approximate of the fish on said unit depth indicator
and besides whoever said anything in the water was safe from me with a line and a hook on it, for sure dont know me very well

Me too, but the other day I caught a limb. It was a tree pounder!
