I bought a carbon Fiber telescoping handle from China via ebay, for $45, free slow boat shipping (should be here today actually), and a Jenko large mesh rubber net head. Hope to be able to report back tomorrow on its use. Pole itsself collapses down to about 25" and 10.9oz.
Jenko has had issues with the handles no collapsing when wet.
I've heard southern crappie rod's net was a litttttle flemsy, but not terrible.
I'll report back with my findings on my China handled Franken-net.
JUNK. The "universal threads" were not universal and the aluminum threaded couplings that keep the net together when stored came unglued. The Jenko head is nice, but I messed it up when I was trying to modify everything to work.

Dang sorry to hear that!

I wasn't either but after using the search bar for crappie.com and even googling it, really couldn't find a negative thing about the net other than price.
6 extending out to 12 feet and the net ring can pop right off for better storage.
How long a net where you hoping for?
I was actually thinking of an 8' carbon fiber handle net even though I I've never heard of 1 before. And was thinking of 1 piece handle
