    Default Garmin customer service

I have a 93 SV UHD that temp started acting squarely on. This past weekend it went out completely. Called Garmin on the water Tuesday to trouble shoot and he said I needed a multi-meter and a diagram. No go on the meter with me but I checked it this morning. Using the meter and the diagram I was able to determine that my transducer was working properly but my cradle wasn't. Long story short....new cradle is on its way with free 2 day shipping. GARMIN ROCKS

So another member here P-Nut, pointed out to me a few years ago the Garmin Quick Detach Cradles have a screwed on, gasketed, cover plate where your cables connect. When you tow your boat or maybe you boat runs 70mph all the water, wind driven, compromises the gaskets on some but not all cradles. He pointed out to me to silicon the cover seam when I had to replace my cradle with a new one to prevent wind driven water damage. I have never had another Garmin cradle problem since I started that practice.

Set the unit in bottom of cradle . Shut it like a book . Otherwise you will need one ever so often . I learned this the hard way .
