Some need it some don't , but to be sure this is the scenario 9 out of 10 times in the section of river under this bridge . Even when the wind direction changes and the river lays still , the fish here like to set up in these spots and in more often than not this size range on fish .
they were there back before the bridge got rebuilt with added columns and years later they are still wanting to be set up according to fish size in those same locations.
Why do the larger fish stay on those pillars and not the others always tends to befuddle me , after flooding when the below the surface cover on the columns changes, they set up the same way yet again.
could probably go into the 42,000 reasons why it is always this way on that bridge, but in the end the less than educated folks hitting this spot likely miss quite a few of the larger fish wanting to hit those middle columns where it would seem the best fish might congregate.
So keep in mind as you wander and just use what god gave you and a rod and reel only as the weapon of choice , the fish will do what the fish want to do and might be sitting where you would think they wouldn't.
BUT in the end, pitch ALL the columns just to be sure is the word,
