    I wondered about it at night since they aren’t biting it that good vertical jigging.

    I grew up fishing a jig under a float. Started in the mid sixties. Was easier for a wee younguns to catch fish.

    When l lived on Douglas lake in Tennessee during the winter months the preferred method of many fishing was a float and jig, some tipped with minnow and many limits of crappie were caught using this method.
    It is also good spring time spawning.

    No minnie's here as we are not allowed to use them in my state that I currently reside. I vertical jig and slip bobber using artificial.
