    6ft to 6.5ft med to med/lite with a fast action tip paired with a wide or long spool spinning reel & 6# line of your choice would be my recommendation.

    I like my 6 ft VAS Norseman with a Tennessee grip so I can move it back. Also having a 6.6 medium light crafted with a MKX bkank and a ice reel seat with an extended for grip for jigging. Nut any decent crappie rod about 6 ft will work

    I have a couple of ACC crappie sticks, a Lew's Speed Stick, B&M Sharp Shooter and an All Start Dock Shooter. It is hard to go wrong with any of them. I like a 6' or 6'6" needs plenty of backbone and I like it to balance well.
    The love for fishing is one of the best gifts you can pass along

    I have several also but by far my favorite is the BnM Sharpshooter 6. Feels good in the hand and shoots docks beautifully.
